someone posted about a coupe, far rarer, that had been similarly squirreled away, I'd take the coupe in a (funded by someone else) heartbeat!

Any chance of that being a nice price went out the door with the autotragic transmission.
Now, if it was the coupe version, it could still be considered a nice price. The scarcity of the coupe version makes it a candidate to appreciate in time. But even then, there are so many better cult cars that have a higher chance of appreciating - or, at least depreciating less - that a GXP is far from being a smart investment...
